Fallacy: Pregnancy Medical Clinics (PMCs) are not real medical clinics.
Fact: Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley is a nonprofit community-based medical clinic who employs trained and licensed medical professionals. These medical professionals perform medical services under direction and supervision of a volunteer Medical Director who is a local physician licensed to practice medicine in Idaho. Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley provides education about pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases/infections and other related reproductive health issues as instructed by our Medical Director.

Fallacy: PMCs give false or misleading information about pregnancy and abortion.
Fact: Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley is committed to evidence based medical care and education. All medical information offered at Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley is approved by our Medical Director.

Fallacy: PMCs use scare tactics to coerce young women into not having an abortion.
Fact: Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley opposes all forms of manipulation, coercion and strong-arming. Therefore, Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley is dedicated to providing a safe, caring and respectful professional medical clinic where every man and woman may work through their reproductive health options free from pressure so that they may make a choice that is best for them.

All of the services at Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley are free of charge. Unlike those who provide abortion services, Stanton Healthcare does not profit from women’s reproductive choices.

Fallacy: PMCs lie about and exaggerate the risks and emotional effects of abortion.
Fact: All information offered at Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley regarding the effects of abortion, both physical and emotional are provided under the direction and supervision of our Medical Director.

Fallacy: PMCs do not protect the health information or confidentiality of the patients they see.
Fact: Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley is compliant with both HIPAA and Idaho’s privacy and security regulations.

Fallacy: PMCs provide little or no actual medical care.
Fact: Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley’s medical staff operates under the standing orders provided by our Medical Director. Our medical services include 1) medical grade pregnancy tests, 2) ultrasound exams to determine a viable intrauterine pregnancy and, 3) sexually transmitted disease/infection testing and treatment.

Fallacy: PMCs are funded by large, national, pro-life groups trying to push an agenda.
Fact: Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley receives no tax-payer money from the federal or state government. Stanton Healthcare Magic Valley is completely dependent upon community support through individual donations, churches, organizations and businesses.
